My partner Joanna grew up off-grid in the woods in Vermont. Their beloved dog, Sal, would chew dog bones and leave them scattered in the woods. After Sal passed away, I took one of his old bones from the woods, sliced it up and mounted and framed the slices like a museum specimen as a memorial to that lovely old dog.
