About
This piece was motivated by the poorly regulated and cruel collection of horseshoe crab blood by US drug companies (example article) for research, even though synthetic alternatives exist. The crab shells are painted black to convey demise. They float over a bright crab-blood blue background and are arranged carefully to feel like a museum antiquity of the past.
