About
Part of a series exploring how it felt to be trapped in the US Immigration and Naturalization System (aka ICE today) for over 5 years. The individual pieces are cast plaster which when de-molded were warm and wet, almost like they were being born. This felt like a metaphor for hope and it was at this exact moment that I also vividly recall realizing how interesting and the process of creating art can be.
